FAQS
What kind of films are you looking for?
We want the strange ones, the ambitious ones, the projects that took five years, three computers, two breakups, and one dead pet to finish. 2D, 3D, stop-motion, experimental, student, mixed-media. We don’t care how it was made, just that it feels alive. If it deserves more visibility, it belongs here.
Can I submit a film that’s a few years old?
Of course. Great films don’t expire. Maybe this can help bring a new life to your film.
Can I submit something that’s already online or been at festivals?
You bet. We don’t care about premiere status. We actually hope your film’s had a great run. Tell us about it; we love seeing projects that have found their audience. We do ask for online exclusivity if you join our revenue share program, but it’s totally up to you. You can read more about our two options and how our revenue model works in the section below.
Do awards or big festivals help my chances?
Nah.
Can I submit an incomplete film?
Sure. If you’ve got a solid cut, even with scratch music or temp sound, go for it. You should feel like you’re at least 90% there. We love seeing work early and having time to plan how and when to program it properly.
Can I submit a web series?
Yes, as long as the episode stands on its own. We usually feature a single entry, but we’re open to chatting about larger series.
Do you accept non-English films?
Yes! As long as you include English subtitles (baked in or closed captions).
If I’m accepted, can I choose my release date?
To an extent! We’ll work with you to schedule a launch that aligns with your goals and timelines, while taking into consideration the overall programming.
Can you guarantee my film will go viral?
Nope. But we can guarantee it’ll be shared in good company, among a community that cares about animation.
Do you require exclusivity?
We have two paths:
Revenue Share; This option includes online exclusivity so we can market and build a consistent home for your film. All data is transparently shared, and payouts happen quarterly. Please reach out for more info on the revenue sharing path.
Exposure Onlyl; No contract, no revenue share. We ask for online exclusivity for the initial launch, and if you land a studio deal or distribution offer and need to pull your film, we’ll be the first to buy you a drink.
Why exclusivity matters (and how payouts work)
Exclusivity helps us invest in promoting your film properly, running ads, pitching it to press, and building a consistent home for it on the channel. It’s how we make sure your work gets the visibility it deserves, not just a quick post that disappears. For those on the Revenue Share plan, all data is shared transparently: you’ll see performance reports and ad-revenue breakdowns every quarter. Payouts are sent directly, no mystery math or middle-men. Our goal is simple, lift great animation, reward the people who made it, and keep the platform sustainable for everyone.
Where should I host my film for submission?
YouTube, Vimeo, Frame.io, Dropbox, or Google Drive all work fine. Password protect, people!
Do you actually watch every submission?
Yes. Every single one. All the way through.
Can I resubmit if I was declined before?
Please do. The programming evolves and maybe your film will fit the next wave.
